Trainings
The content of the courses is described on our website. Xwander reserves the right to modify the training content if, for example, weather conditions require it.
Prices
All training prices listed on the website include VAT. We reserve the right to change prices.
Registration / Booking
The customer is responsible for reviewing the training content, instructions, and limitations before registering. Registration is done through the Xwander Academy website or by calling us. Registration and booking are considered confirmed when the customer receives a confirmation email.
Xwander has the right to cancel the registration even after the confirmation has been sent if any limiting factors come to light that, in Xwander’s assessment, prevent the customer from participating in the training.
Payment
The customer pays for the registration using the selected payment method at the time of registration according to the terms of that method. The payment provider is Stripe, offering credit card and online banking options. For companies, we offer e-invoicing.
It is indicated in the course description if the training can be paid for using employee benefits such as Epassi, Smartum, or Edenred. If you wish to pay using an employee benefit, please register by contacting us directly, and you will receive payment instructions.
What is included in the training price is listed in the course description, as well as what is not included.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend the training, please contact Xwander immediately.
General cancellation policy for Xwander trainings:
- Cancellation is free of charge if made at least 7 days before the course start date.
- If the cancellation is made less than 7 days before the course start date, we will charge 50% of the course fee.
- If no cancellation notice is given before the course and the participant does not show up, the full course fee will be charged.
For courses where the instructor comes from a company external to Xwander, the cancellation terms of that company or instructor apply.
The cancellation terms are stated on the page of each course.
Xwander reserves the right to cancel the training if the minimum number of participants is not met. In such cases, the customer will be fully refunded.
Refunds
In case of force majeure, Xwander has the right to cancel or interrupt the training. If the training is fully cancelled, the course fee paid by the customer will be fully refunded. Any other direct or indirect costs caused by the cancellation will not be reimbursed. If the training is interrupted due to force majeure, the customer will be refunded for the remaining portion of the training that is not held unless a new date can be arranged for continuation.
If the customer arrives late to the training, the missed time will not be compensated. If the trainer is late, the missed time will be compensated at a time agreed with the customer.
The course fee will not be refunded if the event must be interrupted due to the participant’s actions or behavior.
Limiting factors for participation
If the customer has injuries, illnesses, or other limitations that may affect their safety or ability to participate in practical exercises, they are obligated to inform Xwander in advance so that the training can be adjusted accordingly if possible.
Rental equipment
For some courses, necessary equipment can be rented from Erävuokraamo. Erävuokraamo’s rental terms apply to such rentals.
Insurance
All participants must have valid accident and travel insurance. Xwander has liability insurance that covers any damages directly caused by Xwander’s actions or negligence.
Companies and Groups
Xwander Academy training can be ordered for companies or other groups by contacting us. Upon accepting the offer or placing an order, further details on the training customization and pricing will be agreed. Customized training ordered for groups are invoiced separately and must be paid before the training begins.
The customer provides the number of participants when ordering. Changes to the number of participants must be made at least 14 days before the event. If you wish to cancel the ordered training, our general cancellation policy applies (see above).
The ordering party is responsible for ensuring that all participants have valid accident and travel insurance.
For all other aspects, the above terms apply to training ordered by companies and groups.
