The basic course teaches you the foundations of whitewater packrafting and how to paddle safely in moving water. In the theory session, you’ll learn about packrafting equipment – the inflatable, backpackable packraft – as well as how to read river currents and plan a safe route downstream.
In the hands-on session, you’ll practice essential paddling techniques in whitewater with your packraft, including eddy turns and self-rescue. You’ll get to apply your new skills in a variety of river sections (class I–III, from easy to intermediate) under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
