This 5-day mindfulness course for teachers is an Erasmus+ course specifically designed for teachers of all levels and schools. It provides an introduction to the theory and research behind mindfulness and offers valuable tools for teachers’ self-care and stress management.
During the cultural and nature activities, participants will explore Finnish and Lappish culture and experience the beauty of pristine nature through seasonal activities, such as snowshoeing or nature walks, while practicing mindfulness in the forest.
A major focus of the course is mindfulness practice. Participants will explore different mindfulness meditation techniques to gradually integrate mindfulness into their daily lives and school environments. The course also includes a cultural evening, where participants will share their cultural backgrounds and professional experiences.
During the course, in your free time in Rovaniemi, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the surrounding Arctic nature or book exciting, fun-filled outdoor activities if you wish.
The course is led by professional former school teachers and current yoga and mindfulness instructors, Sini and Piia.
