The Extended First Aid Course is a two-day training that covers, in addition to the contents of a basic first aid course, a more in-depth introduction to advanced first aid techniques and injury treatment.

This comprehensive first aid course is designed for individuals who require deeper first aid knowledge, such as healthcare professionals, rescue personnel, and those working in high-risk environments. No prior first aid knowledge is required to participate in the course.

The course focuses on fundamental first aid skills, including CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), bleeding control, shock treatment, and emergency situations involving children (e.g., choking, allergic reactions). In addition to basic first aid, the course also covers advanced first aid topics such as injury and illness assessment, bandaging, splinting, and provides detailed training on the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

No previous first aid experience is required. Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate valid for 24 months. The Xwander Academy’s Extended First Aid Course complies with the international EFR (Emergency First Response) first aid system and is equivalent to the first aid courses offered by the Finnish Red Cross (SPR).

The first aid courses provided by Xwander Academy are equivalent to the SPR First Aid Courses EA 1 and EA 2. You can renew your first aid certification obtained from SPR courses by attending Xwander Academy courses.

What is the cancellation policy?
  • Cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled 7 days or less before the event.
